New book release about Chinggis Khaan by Rafet Sertoglu to inspire young readers
Upon the initiation of the Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Kayseri Province, the
Republic of Turkey, Khasan Khaskaraman, a well known Turkish writer, poet and
journalist Rafet Sertoglu has released a book titled "Genghis Khan's Mongolia".
The book is dedicated for young readers and written in a simply language for
children of middle school, and features Chinggis Khaan’s (Genghis Khan) early
life, uniting tibes, rise to power and building Mongol Empire. The book also
includes the current economic, social, cultural and educational development key
information about Mongolia and its capital city of Ulaanbaatar.
To attract young readers interest, over 50 illustrations by Aykut Agacayak were
attached about Chinggis Khaan and his warriors, arms, horses and describes
Mongolia’s nomadic life, culture and history.
The "Genghis Khan's Mongolia" is published in the scope of the 45th anniversary
of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Republic of
Turkey that marks in 2014 and aims to promote Mongolia’s history, culture and
its current development progress.
The first releases of 2,000 copies are being distributed to secondary schools in
Turkey as free donation, which were sponsored by Honorary Consul Khasan
Khaskaraman.
