The MONTSAME head congratulated Mr Karagoz on being appointed the Ambassador to Mongolia and introduced to him the agency’s multilateral foreign ties, features of activities and base of information.

The MONTSAME has been cooperating with the Turkish ANADOLU agency for many years, noted Mr Baatarkhuyag and expressed a willingness to expand contents of the cooperation agreement. He also mentioned that the Turkish ANADOLU agency successfully chaired the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) last three years, and thanked the Turkish agency for highly appreciating the MONTSAME’s activities during a regular assembly of the OANA which ran in Moscow, Russia.

"Our agencies will prolong their cooperation agreement this year, so MONTSAME wants to keep the collaboration in supporting each other," Mr Baatarkhuyag said and asked the Ambassador to assist it. He also said MONTSAME wants to receive information from Turkey about political life, economy, business environment, social life and tourism.

In turn, Mr Karagoz said he obtains information about Mongolia as well as world news by reading news published by the MONTSAME agency, and added the

MONTSAME delivers the most useful news about Mongolia to foreigners in an efficient way. He promised to focus his attention on expanding the long-year friendly collaboration between the two agencies.

Mr Karagoz also said his country has a willingness to intensify the cooperation in exchanging journalists for a tour and by sharing experiences.

Mentioning that the countries will celebrate the 45th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic relations this year, the Ambassador said he wants the MONTSAME agency to participate in various events in frames of the anniversary.

Mr Baatarkhuyag thankfully accepted the proposals and agreed with the Ambassador on cooperating in developing tourism and exchanging information from guaranteed sources.
